About Us

ACS — Alberta Corporate Services is a Calgary-based private company whose CORES-trained agents prepare Alberta business filings and submit them through a licensed registry agent, at upfront prices, with every order reviewed before it is filed.

Who we are

ACS — Alberta Corporate Services is operated by MRP Corporate Services, based in Calgary, Alberta.

We do one thing: Alberta registry work, prepared correctly and filed the same business day. Incorporations, professional corporations, trade names, annual returns, corporate changes, searches, and the set-up steps that follow incorporation.

What we are not

We are not the government. "Alberta Corporate Services" is our business name, not a government department: we are not Alberta Corporate Registry, and we are not a registry agent. You will not find crests or seals on this site, because we have none to show.

ACS is a private company operated by MRP Corporate Services. We are not a government office or an Alberta registry agent. Our CORES-trained agents prepare your filing and submit it through a licensed Alberta registry agent. Prices are total fees, government fee included, before GST.

We think saying this plainly is a strength. You should know exactly who is handling your filing and how it reaches the registry.

How a filing actually reaches the registry

Alberta corporate filings — incorporations, annual returns, changes and searches — are processed in CORES, the Corporate Registry System run by Service Alberta. Business owners cannot file in CORES themselves. Filings go through licensed registry agents, plus a small number of accredited law firms and high-volume subscribers.

Here is our part. Our CORES-trained agents prepare your package and check it. It is then submitted through [Partner registry agent name], a licensed Alberta registry agent. Corporate Registry issues the certificate, and we email it to you with the filed documents.

What "CORES-trained" means

People who process CORES transactions hold CORES accreditation at Level 1, 2 or 3, earned after training and an exam administered by Service Alberta. Higher levels handle more complex filings.

In practice, it means the person reading your order knows what Corporate Registry will accept and what it will send back: a name without a distinctive element, a NUANS report older than 90 days, a director under 18, a missing agent for service. Those are caught before your order is filed, not after.

Our promises

  1. Upfront pricing. One total, shown before you start, with the government fee, consultation, preparation and filing included; GST is added at checkout.
  2. Review before filing. A trained person checks every order. Nothing goes to the registry on autopilot.
  3. Same business day. Complete orders received before 3:00 pm MT are filed that day. Where a regulator must approve first, as with professional corporations, we state the regulator's time separately.
  4. Named people. You get the name of the agent handling your file and a phone number a person answers, Mon–Fri 8:00–6:00 MT.
  5. Plain language, clear boundaries. We define every term. We do not give tax or legal advice; when a question belongs to your CPA or lawyer, we say so and set things up the way they recommend.
